Laufey announces new single “Goddess” releasing Mar 9, 2024

The Grammy-Award winning artist teased the song and revealed it to certain fans in London on the 23rd of February in a Tiktok. Fans described it as ethereal and raw, going so far as to ask the artist, “Who hurt you Laufey?” Others commented about how they “will be crying to this when it comes out, " and how “this is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard in a long time.”

Then on February 26 while on her tour with the same name as her Sophomore Album “Bewitched,” she performed the song live for audiences in Stockholm, Sweden as a surprise performance- the official announcement of the song’s release following afterwards.

She describes it as her “most honest song” and announces the release on March 6, 2024 at 1 PM (EST).

A 20 second snippet of the song is available on Tiktok and Instagrams to further promote its release.

Born in 1993, Laufey Lin Jonsdottir has experienced much success as an Icelandic-Chinese jazz singer, a genre previously known to have a poor performance commercially. Vogue Magazine describes her as something “straight out of a twinkling Nordic fairytale.”

Laufey is certainly a performer to keep an eye on in this century. For fans in the Philippines, the artist announced her coming back to the country to perform with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra for a one-night show.
