LRT-1 Cavite Extension Test Run Signals Major Transportation Advancements in Manila

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has initiated the first phase test run for the LRT-1 Cavite Extension, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance accessibility in Manila.

The LRT system, overseen by the LRTA, is undergoing significant improvements in 2024, including the establishment of new lines and extensions to existing networks. These changes aim to reduce travel times and expand coverage for commuters.

Residents near LRT 1 Stations, especially in Metro Manila, will gain easier access to major employment centers, resulting in time savings and improved work-life balance.

The extension project includes the addition of new LRT 1 Stations such as Niog, Tirona, Imus, Daang Hari, Salitran, Congressional Avenue, and Governors Drive, aiming to improve transportation connectivity between Cavite and Metro Manila.

Niog Station in Bacoor, Cavite, and Tirona Station between Bacoor and Kawit will facilitate local travel. Imus Station will improve transportation within the municipality. Daang Hari Station is expected to impact Villar City's real estate, while Congressional Avenue Station near De La Salle University – Dasmariñas and Governor's Drive Station in Dasmariñas aim to enhance accessibility for residents and commuters.

The LRT-1 Cavite Extension test run marks a significant step forward in Manila's transportation development, promising improved connectivity and accessibility for commuters and residents alike.
