The Cavite City Medical Care Mega Health Center —the biggest health center in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) — was unveiled on Friday, March 22, with a ceremony attended by Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa and Rep. Ramon "Jolo" Revilla 3rd of Cavite's first district.

The Cavite City Medical Care Mega Health Center, located in Barangay 28, Sea Breeze, will offer free medical services including surgical, outpatient, diagnostic, birthing, emergency, and pharmacy services to residents.

The mega health center, which also serves the towns of Noveleta, Kawit, and Rosario in the 1st district, is a vital addition to Cavite's healthcare infrastructure.

Secretary Herbosa reiterated the Department of Health's commitment to improving healthcare quality nationwide and pledged support for local government efforts to combat poverty. He emphasized the significance of mega health centers in advancing universal healthcare.

Rep. Revilla emphasized the importance of the new health facility, fulfilling a campaign promise to enhance public service quality and address medical needs. Mayor Reyes-Chua expressed gratitude to the DOH and the Revillas for their commitment to the project.

The Cavite City Medical Care Mega Health Center boasts comprehensive facilities including delivery and recovery rooms, operating theaters, pharmacies, and emergency services, positioning it as a vital healthcare resource for the region.

Assistant Secretary Ariel Valencia, Cavite City Vice Mayor Releigh Rusit, and Board Member Ram Revilla-Bautista were among the local officials present at the ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

Secretary Herbosa's assurance of continued DOH support and commitment to healthcare improvement resonated throughout the event.

The opening ceremony was followed by the blessing of a new ambulance and the entire building premises. The mega health center is slated to be fully operational by April, promising improved access to quality healthcare for Caviteños.
