Cavite Police Restrict 3 Officers Amid Home Robbery Allegations



Police Regional Office IV-A director PB Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas has identified the three police officers involved in the robbery of a house at Grand Centennial Homes, Kawit, Cavite, on Tuesday, February 13. 


Lucas pinpointed the suspects to be Police Senior Master Sgt. Jhon Paolo Maigue Mellona, Police Senior Master Sgt. Reynaldo Andrada Quilit Jr., and Police Corporal Lynard Pastrana Pareja. They allegedly entered two civilian residences and hostaged and held occupants at a gunpoint and stole away valuables.


Along with the policemen involved, two civilians and four identified individuals who also broke into two residences wearing black jackets, gray long sleeves, caps, and face masks have been reported. Other related investigations revealed that they utilized a white Toyota Hi-Ace van, registered to a private individual in Tanza, Cavite, as their getaway vehicle.


The accused policemen have been charged with robbery in band under the procedures outlined in Department Circular No. 20 published by the DOJ. Meanwhile, the three police officers were removed from their duties and kept in restricted custody at the Regional Headquarters Holding Area Section.
