Imus Honors Women with Disability Day with Special Pamper Session

In a commendable display of inclusivity and community spirit, the Municipality of Imus dedicated April 4, 2024 to celebrate Women with Disability Day, organizing a memorable event to honor and support women with disabilities.

Led by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and the City College of Imus, the initiative provided 150 Imus women with a day of pampering, including complimentary haircuts, hair treatments, manicures, and massages. Additionally, attendees were graciously presented with practical kits tailored to assist them in their daily lives.

The musical talents of SPED (Special Education) students Kianna Dhennise and Yvannah Louisse Ursua enriched the event with their heartfelt performance, spreading joy and fostering a sense of camaraderie among participants.

Distinguished guests, including City Vice Mayor "Saki" Saquilayan, Councilor Yen Saquilayan, Provincial PDAO Marie Sheila Antenor-Haloc, and Imus PDAO Officer-in-charge Maria Fides Escalda, graced the occasion, reaffirming the community's commitment to supporting individuals, especially women with disabilities.

This inclusive and compassionate initiative underscores Imus' dedication to fostering a supportive environment for all its residents, irrespective of ability, and highlights the importance of recognizing and celebrating the diverse contributions of women with disabilities in society.
